Colts owner: chances Peyton Manning plays in 2011 'slightly less ...

The Indianapolis Colts' season is probably over already. But don't say the same about Peyton Manning. Colts owner Jim Irsay said Monday that the chances his franchise quarterback plays before the end of this season rest at "slightly less than 50 percent."
Manning has been sidelined for all of 2011 after undergoing two neck surgeries. Irsay said that the team would only bring him back this year if he was completely healthy. But Irsay also said that it's important for Manning to play because "Each season runs to the next season. ... and if you're getting better in December that can carry through to next year." FANTASY ANALYSIS: So don't forget about Peyton Manning just yet. If you have a roster spot that you can afford to give some dead weight, I guess it's not a terrible idea to stash Peyton and hope for the best come Decemeber. But I still think the odds of him returning this year are not only less than 50-50, but probably less than 90-10. But hey, that's better than zero.
